One in four mushrooms is produced in Poland
According to the survey carried out by Eurostat, Poland, next to the Netherlans, is a leading mushroom manufacturer in Europe being the only producer with a tendency of growth. Every year around 1 million tones of mushrooms is grown on our continent. It has been estimated that Polish production of mushrooms will amount to around 270 tones, which means that one in four consumed mushrooms is cultivated in our country.
OKECHAMP S.A. joined Northern Mushrooms Limited (NML), a pan European Producer Organisation with its headquarter based in Wath, North Yorkshire, England, in early 2005.
